Can I use measurements from a brochure?
No. Published dimensions are useful reasonableness checks, but rig changes, rake, furlers and hardware can change the usable envelope.
Which unit should I use?
Use metres or feet consistently. The wizard can display either, but every value in a saved set must use the same unit.
Does this replace a sailmaker measuring the boat?
No. It creates an organised preliminary record. Final dimensions, allowances, hardware and responsibility must be confirmed professionally.
